How to submit your petitions?
The most efficient ways to submit your petitions are by:
- Sending a Secure Message in Member Access with a signed petition attached.
- Attaching the signed petition and emailing it to IMRF at IMRFTrusteeElection@imrf.org.
- Faxing the signed petition to IMRF at 630-706-4656.
Member Access submissions will only be accepted from the account holder.
Nominating petitions will be accepted in the IMRF office in Oak Brook between August 1, 2025, and September 15, 2025. Petitions received after 4:30 PM on September 15, 2025, will not be accepted.
After submitting petitions, what is the next step?
IMRF staff will verify the nominating petitions and letters will be sent to all candidates who submitted nominating petitions confirming whether they will be on the ballot.
If there is only one candidate for one of the seats up for election, an election for that specific seat will not be held, and the Board will confirm that candidate as a Trustee at its December meeting.
