Gwen Henry to Return as Executive Trustee

Current IMRF Executive Trustee Gwen Henry is unopposed in seeking a new two-year term of office. Henry’s new term will begin January 1, 2026, and run through December 31, 2027.

Henry has been on the Board since 2009 and served as President in 2025, 2021, and 2012. She currently is a member of the Audit, Investment, and Legislative Committees. She has served as the DuPage County Treasurer since 2006 and previously held elected positions on the DuPage County Board and DuPage County Forest Preserve Commission.


“I am honored to continue my service on the Board of Trustees,” Henry said. “I will continue to focus on providing excellent service to our members and employers, supporting sound investments, and ensuring the pension is fully funded.”

The IMRF Board has many responsibilities, including authorizing IMRF investments, approving the administrative budget, and setting employer contribution rates. IMRF's Trustees are fiduciaries, required to act solely in the interests of you and your beneficiaries, and to make sure that your benefits are secure.
