Watch On-Demand Workshops for Members

IMRF recently updated its on-demand workshops that provide members with an overview of all their benefits.

“Whether you are new to IMRF or have been a member for years, these webinars provide valuable information that will help you plan for your retirement,” said Dawn Seputis, Customer Service Director. “Our goal is to make accessing this information as easy as possible through these on-demand workshops. You can choose the version that is best for you and learn more about what to expect as an IMRF member.”

There are separate workshops for individuals enrolled in the Regular Plan and the Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Plan (SLEP). Additionally, each version has also been translated into Spanish.

Your Benefits Roadmap: Understanding Your IMRF Benefits

This workshop is designed for newly enrolled IMRF members or anyone who is interested in a refresher about their IMRF benefits.

The presentation includes information about:

• Types of benefits, including retirement, disability, and death.
• The benefits of participating in the Voluntary Additional Contributions (VAC) program.

How to qualify for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 pension and how the pension is calculated.

Your Road to Retirement: Navigating the Retirement Process

This workshop helps individuals looking to retire in the next five years understand the retirement process and their benefits.

This presentation includes information about:

• Pension eligibility and how your pension is calculated.
• An overview of your retirement timeline and process.
• What to expect after you retire with your pension.
