The Best Way to Contact Us is through Member and Employer Access

The best way to contact us is by sending a secure message through Member Access or Employer Access. You can also fax us at 630-706-4289.


Our Offices are Closed to the Public

At this time, you cannot come to our offices in person for any reason, including to complete or drop off paperwork. The best way to get documents to us is to send us a secure message through your Member Access account with electronic copies of your documents attached.


Our Contact Center is Open

Our 1-800-ASK-IMRF member phone number is open. Hours of operations are Monday-Friday, from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM. The best way to contact us is by sending a secure message through Member Access. You can also fax us at 630-706-4289.


Employers can contact us by sending a secure message through Employer Access, by calling the Employer-only phone: 1-800-728-7971, which is open Monday - Friday, from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM or fax us at 630-706-4289.  


IMRF Educational Programs

Our IMRF educational programs, such as our Pre-Retirement Workshops, Glass Half Full Workshops, and Authorized Agent Workshops, will continue to be facilitated by IMRF Field Representatives via Webinar. Personal Benefit Reviews will continue to be held by phone at this time.

We are processing and responding to paper-based correspondence; however, we strongly recommend that you use your Member Access or Employer Access account to manage your IMRF benefits.
