December 1, 2025
IMRF’s main office will be moving to a new location in Oak Brook at the end of this year.
The lease at the current location expires at the end of 2025 and while evaluating the needs of our staff and members, the Board of Trustees determined that the new office space will be best for IMRF’s future.
What does this mean for our members, retirees, and employers?
- IMRF will not be holding in-person appointments with Member Education Counselors from December 1, 2025, through January 23, 2026. During this period, members can reach us by calling 1-800-ASK-IMRF (275-4673) to talk to a representative or to schedule a virtual appointment. You can also find valuable resources at www.imrf.org, including the Member Access Learning Center and on-demand webinars.
- Members, retirees, and employers will be unable to visit the current Oak Brook office after December 19, because the physical offices will be closed while the final stages of the move are completed. Members must call IMRF at 1-800-ASK-IMRF for assistance.
- All other services will continue without interruption.
- During this time, IMRF’s Springfield Office (3000 Professional Drive, Ste. 101) will continue to be open as usual.
About the New IMRF Office
IMRF’s new office will be located at 800 Commerce Drive in Oak Brook, which is conveniently located next to I-88 and the Oak Brook Mall. The new office will not be open to visitors until January 2026.
The new office building will provide additional support to members and retirees by:
- Eliminating the need to navigate a large office complex.
- Providing “Member-Only” parking close to the front entrance.
- Having a larger reception area where our two receptionists will welcome you
- Offering large meeting rooms with enough space for member workshops and other gatherings.
Don’t forget there is a wide variety of resources available on www.imrf.org, including webinars about retirement benefits, the Member Access Learning Center, and more.
