Announcement Regarding February 1 Payments
About 270 IMRF payments scheduled for issuance on February 1 will be delayed by one business day. IMRF apologizes for the delay.
IMRF processes more than 129,000 payments on the first of every month, and 99.8% of the payments due February 1 were made on time. The delayed payments include a mix of monies due to retirees and disabilitants, as well as some refunds of contributions to members who no longer participate in IMRF. The delayed payments were to be made by electronic direct deposit. For the less than 270 members impacted by our error, direct deposits will appear in members’ bank accounts by end-of-business Monday, February 4.
IMRF prides itself on its accuracy and timeliness. We apologize for our error and will take steps to improve our internal processes so it does not happen again.
Any concerned member should contact their bank Monday afternoon to verify receipt of the IMRF payment. Members may also contact IMRF at 1-800-ASK-IMRF Monday-Friday, between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM with any questions or concerns.
