Louis W. Kosiba, IMRF’s Executive Director since 2001, has announced his retirement at the end of this year, effective December 31, 2017.
IMRF's Executive Director is an employee of the IMRF Board of Trustees. The Board -- wholly elected by IMRF members, retirees, and employers -- will conduct a nationwide search for Kosiba's replacement. The Board hopes to announce IMRF's next Exectuvie Director in the fall or winter of 2017.
Kosiba said one of his top priorities for the remainder of 2017 is to support the Board of Trustees as it searches for his successor.
"I am looking forward to my retirement, but more importantly, I'm excited about working to ensure that there is a smooth transition for whomever takes my place," Kosiba said. "I will be focusing on the transition and ensuring our Journey of Excellence continues."
