WHEREAS, section 7-198 of the Illinois Pension Code authorizes the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to establish rules necessary or desirable for the efficient administration of the Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has previously adopted Resolutions 1956-3277, 1959-4374, 1963-5664, 1965-6236(b), 1966-6600, and 1967-6867 which establish rules regarding the administration of IMRF death benefits and benefit protection leaves of absence; and
WHEREAS, changes to the Illinois Pension Code and other Illinois statutes have made these rules obsolete; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Board’s now obsolete rules regarding death benefits and benefit protection leaves of absence be rescinded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Board Resolutions 1956-3277, 1959-4374, 1963-5664, 1965-6236(b), 1966-6600, and 1967-6867 be and are hereby rescinded.
