Cost Estimates for Units of Government Considering IMRF Participation (Voluntary)
To assist local officials in making an informed decision concerning IMRF participation and to ensure that the actuarial soundness of the Fund will not be impaired by approval of participation by the applicant, all prospective employers inquiring into IMRF participation must have a cost study performed as part of the application process if prior service would be established for current employees.
