- IMRF staff will be responsible for the initial denial of disability benefits on claims involving pre-existing conditions.
- IMRF staff will determine when surveillance of disabled members is necessary, and will report the findings of the surveillance to the Board.
The following policy was superseded on October 26, 2001 (see 2001-10-18):
- IMRF staff will continue to submit to the Board for initial decisions, disability claims that involve eligibility questions due to extent of the claimed disability.
