IMRF is an Open Book
IMRF is promoting fiscal responsibility and a commitment to transparency during Sunshine Week (March 15-21, 2020), a national initiative promoting open government and freedom of information.
Over the years, IMRF has consistently received accolades for accurate and clear financial reporting, always an ‘open book’ to the media and members of the general public. For more than four decades, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has applauded IMRF’s Finance Department for its clear and accurate financial reporting, a point of pride within the organization.
"Every dollar IMRF receives is accurately recorded, wisely invested, and properly disclosed in our financial reports," said Chief Financial Officer Mark Nannini. "IMRF members, employers, and taxpayers can see precisely how IMRF funds are being utilized."
