January 19, Martin Luther King Jr. Day marks the Day of Service along with the official launch of the Year of the Volunteer with the theme "You are the difference." IMRF will take an active role in supporting the "Year of the Volunteer" by utilizing various external communication mediums to spread the awareness about this state-wide initiative and celebrate volunteer stories of IMRF members throughout the year.
