The deadline for the Year of the Volunteer "You are the difference" volunteer profile story contest has passed. We are no longer taking submissions.
"You Are the Difference," a volunteer profile story contest is one of many ways through which IMRF supports the goal of the “Year of the Volunteer” for the year 2015. Through the contest, IMRF would like to highlight the best seven volunteer profile stories of its members (both active and retired) that have created an impact in their communities. The top seven volunteer stories will be promoted between June 5 to November 30 on IMRF’s website and social media. Out of the seven stories selected, IMRF will pick the winning volunteer profile story and recognize it through IMRF’s website and social media.
A staff donation of $1,000 dollars will be made to the winning volunteer story and the winner’s volunteer work will be celebrated and recognized at the IMRF office in December. This will provide an opportunity for the volunteer to share his/her story with IMRF staff and meet the IMRF’s Executive Director Louis Kosiba.
Please join us in the near future to celebrate and recognize the volunteers who donate their time, professional skills and resources to create a difference in their communities.
