WHEREAS, Section 7-198 of the Illinois Pension Code authorizes the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to establish rules necessary or desirable for the efficient administration of the Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has previously adopted Resolutions 1941-38, 1946-559, 1947-690, 1980-11293, and 1989-04-27 regarding the Board of Trustees’ legislative philosophy and practices; and
WHEREAS, changes to the legislative philosophy of the Board of Trustees, as well as changes in the practices of the General Assembly and outside organizations have made these resolutions obsolete; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Board’s now obsolete rules regarding legislative philosophy and practices be rescinded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Board Resolutions 1941-38, 1946-559, 1947-690, 1980-11293, and 1989-04-27 be and are hereby rescinded.
