WHEREAS, section 7-198 of the Illinois Pension Code authorizes the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to establish rules necessary or desirable for the efficient administration of the Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has previously adopted Resolutions 1946-460, 1946-593, 1950-1410, and 1950-1411, which establish rules regarding seasonal employees and purchase of past service; and
WHEREAS, these rules were necessary for the efficient administration of the IMRF plan; and
WHEREAS, changes to the Illinois Pension Code and to IMRF’s administrative capabilities have made these rules obsolete; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that these now obsolete rules be rescinded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Board resolutions 1946-460, 1946-593, 1950-1410, and 1950-1411 be and are hereby, rescinded.
