WHEREAS, section 7-198 of the Illinois Pension Code authorizes the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to establish rules necessary or desirable for the efficient administration of the Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has previously adopted Resolution 1990-11-15, which establishes rules regarding the administration of IMRF disability benefits; and
WHEREAS, changes to the Illinois Pension Code and to IMRF’s administrative capabilities have made these rules obsolete; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Board’s now obsolete rules regarding disability benefits be rescinded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Board Resolution 1990-11-15 is hereby rescinded.
