Meeting room

Topic: IMRF Board
Subtopic: Attendance by Telephone
Date: 10/26/2006
Status: Active

WHEREAS, in order for the Board of Trustees to act in a timely and efficient manner, meetings may need to be held when some or all of the Board Members may not be able to physically reach the meeting site; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has determined that it is in the best interest of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund that participation in meetings may be in person or by telephone.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund that:

Members of the Board of Trustees may participate in a meeting by means of a conference telephone or similar communications equipment if all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other at the same time. Participation in a meeting by these means constitutes presence in person, as long as there is a quorum physically present at the meeting location (which can include any public building announced in the meeting agenda) and the reason for participation by telephone meets the requirements of the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
