In present position since December 2008. Previously, Director of Finance for the City of Naperville from March 2003 to December 2008.


As City Manager, I report directly to the Mayor and City Council and am responsible for the proper administration of all affairs of the City. In this position, I am responsible for the entire organization (940 full-time employees, including Police, Fire, Public Works, Legal, Electric Utility, Water/Wastewater Utility, Human Resources, Transportation Engineering and Development, Finance, IT, and City Clerk).

Former CPA for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Former Finance Director for the City of Naperville. Bachelor of Science - U.S. Naval Academy. MBA - University of Chicago. Former trustee on two Illinois pension funds. As City Manager for the past nine years, I understand the value of IMRF to its participants and retirees and will strive to serve those customers through the maintenance of those benefits and the appreciation of investment assets.
