Inactive Member Fundamental Newsletters

The members of IMRF are kept informed in several ways--one of them is through the Fundamentals newsletter which is published two times per year. This edition of Fundamentals is mailed to members who are no longer working for an IMRF employer but who still have funds on deposit with IMRF.

Fundamentals newsletters are mailed directly to members' homes, but you can view past issues here, beginning with 2002, when we started publishing this edition.

IMRF Online provides a brief summary of IMRF benefits and the adminstration of those benefits. IMRF members' and employers' rights and obligations are governed by Article 7 of the Illinois Pension Code. Statements in these publications are general, and the Illinois state law governing IMRF is complex and specific. If a conflict arises between information in these publications and the law, all decisions are based on the law.
