Nannini is the Director of Finance/Treasurer for the City of Crystal Lake. His five-year term begins on January 1, 2012.
New Board officers elected for 2012
The Board elected the following officers for 2012:
- Gwen Henry, President
- William Stafford, Vice President
- Natalie Copper, Secretary
Henry, an Executive Trustee, is the DuPage County Treasurer. Stafford, an Executive Trustee, is Chief Financial Officer of Evanston Township High School District 202. Copper, an Employee Trustee, is the School-age Child Care Site Coordinator for Dawes School in Evanston/Skokie School District 65.
50-year Actuarial Projection and Triennial Experience Study
Consultant Gabriel Roeder Smith presented its 50-year Actuarial Projection and Triennial Experience Study. The report concluded that IMRF has weathered two significant economic downturns, and remains a very strong retirement system. Actuarial projections show that under foreseeable scenarios, IMRF can remain financially stable into the future. Based upon the Triennial Experience Study, the actuaries recommended several changes to IMRF’s actuarial assumptions, which the Board adopted.
April Board meeting set for Springfield
The Board voted to hold its April Regular Meeting and Committee Meetings in Springfield. The Board Committee Meetings will be held Thursday, April 26, and the Regular Meeting will be held Friday, April 27. The meetings will be held in the Illinois State Library. The meetings coincide with the Board’s annual Springfield Drive-Down, which is set for Wednesday, April 25.
The next monthly Board meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012.
