Pension Estimates

Getting an estimate of your future pension benefits is an important part of your retirement planning process.

Online pension estimates for most IMRF members are available to users of IMRF Member Access. These online pension estimates use your actual account data, as it was last reported to IMRF.

You must have an IMRF Member Access account to use the online estimator.

Don't have a Member Access account?

If you don't have a Member Access account, or the online pension estimator is unable to provide you with an estimate, you can obtain pension estimates in other ways:

• If you wish to view a basic formula, based on your estimated Final Rate of Earnings (FRE) you can view the following basic pension formula charts:
  • Regular IMRF plan pension estimate chart
  • SLEP plan pension estimate chart (for members  participating in the IMRF SLEP plan after June 1, 2006. See the SLEP Plan information for more details on previous benefit formulas.)
  • Revised ECO plan pension estimate chart
• Call an IMRF Member Service Representative at 1-800-ASK-IMRF (1-800-275-4673) and request one.
• Submit an IMRF Form BF20, Pension Estimate Request by fax or mail.

The amounts provided by the IMRF Member Access Pension Estimator are estimates only and do not commit IMRF to any future pension benefits.

Any estimate is based upon certain assumptions, and perhaps projections, including data that you enter. Your actual benefits will be determined when you retire and will be based on actual records.

Some IMRF members may not be able to obtain an online pension estimate because ofconditions that may require special handling by IMRF staff.
