The 96th General Assembly
Nine bills (including ethics legislation) affecting IMRF have been signed so far during the 96th General Assembly, which began in January, 2009.
When a bill relating to IMRF is introduced in the Illinois General Assembly, the IMRF Board votes to support, oppose, or remain neutral on the bill.
Positions will be posted on this website as the Board takes them. It is important to remember the IMRF Board position does not directly affect the movement of the bill; the bill must be passed by the Illinois legislature and signed by the governor to become law.
