IMRF's Springfield Regional Counseling Center

IMRF members who live in the Sangamon County area have a retirement planning resource with IMRF's first Regional Counseling Center. The office officially opened on November 26, 2001. See Hours.

Services available through the Springfield Office

“When a member is approaching retirement, or a beneficiary needs help completing a death claim, an IMRF Member Service Representative can ‘walk’ the member or beneficiary through the sometimes-confusing claims process and help ensure a claim is paid promptly,” said IMRF Executive Director Louis Kosiba.

“We believe such personalized counseling plays an important role in providing quality service to our members,” he added.

Springfield hours and phone number

IMRF Member Service Representatives will be available for appointment or walk-in counseling. In-person appointments will be available Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening appointments are available Monday and Thursday evenings until 8:00 p.m by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, members may call 1-800-ASK-IMRF (1-800-275-4673).
