Naperville Resident Named President
of IMRF Board

Max Bochmann assumes new role at January meeting

OAK BROOK, Ill. – January 8, 2008 – Max F. Bochmann, who has worked for Naperville Community Unit School District #203 since 1976 and has served as a school bus mechanic for the district since 1977, assumed responsibility as president of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) board of trustees on Jan. 1, 2008.

Bochmann, an employee trustee since 1999, has a distinguished record of service on the board including serving as board president in 2003, vice president in 2002 and 2007, and secretary in 2001. Bochmann has been active on the board’s Benefit Review, Personnel/Budget/Insurance, Legislative, Investment and Audit Committees.

The independent eight-member board of trustees serve without compensation and is composed of four executive trustees elected by participating units of government, three employee trustees elected by participating IMRF members and one non-voting annuitant trustee elected by IMRF retirees.

“We are pleased to welcome Max as the president of the IMRF board and look forward to his leadership,” said Louis W. Kosiba, IMRF executive director. “Our independent board of trustees, with its authority to invest assets and set employer contribution rates based on sound actuarial principles, is a very important part of IMRF’s funding success.”
