Since 2008, IMRF has partnered with the University
of Illinois Extension to provide workshops on various topics. Workshops
are at various locations throughout the state, and are provided
at no cost to our retired members and a guest of their choice.

FIT WITS: Fostering Improved Thinking While
Incorporating Training Strategies
There is increasing evidence that brain health is directly related
to body health. By attending the FIT WITS program, you can learn
more about the aging brain and what you can do to keep your brain
healthy and engaged.
Note: While FIT WITS can be considered
a “sequel” to our previously offered Building
a Better Memory workshop, it is not necessary to have attended
Building a Better Memory to enjoy FIT WITS.
Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?
Almost all individuals have valued personal belongings. In this
workshop, you will have the chance to explore ways to talk to
family members about the difficult subject of distributing family
items with emotional and sentimental value, while still keeping
relationships intact.
