Not ready for retirement, but interested  in learning more about your IMRF benefits while you’re working?

IMRF Field Representatives are available to conduct Benefit Overview Presentations at all  employer locations. These Benefit Overview Presentations last about an hour (perfect  to schedule over a lunch hour) and give you a explanation of why you are  enrolled in IMRF and a summary of survivor, disability, and retirement eligibility and benefits.

How can you schedule a Benefit Overview Presentation?

Benefit Overview Presentations are scheduled directly with a Field Representative by your employer or other associations (like the IEA or AFSCME).
 
If you would like a Benefit Overview Presentation at your employer, we recommend you talk to the person who handles payroll or other IMRF duties at your employer—this might be a payroll clerk, human resources person, superintendent, unit secretary, or other position. If you aren’t sure who to talk to at your employer, you can call an IMRF Member Services Representative at 1-800-ASK-IMRF (1-800-275-4673) and ask who your Authorized Agent is.

Pre-retirement  programs

IMRF offers “Planning for Your Future” pre-retirement  workshops throughout the state. While these workshops are full of important information for all IMRF members, they are particularly geared toward those  members getting ready to retire in the next five to ten years.
