The IMRF Board of Trustees chose to endorse these plans due to the financial stability of the companies offering them, the benefits provided, the cost, and their ability to service our retirees. In addition, IMRF retirees can enjoy the convenience of having their premium costs deducted directly from their monthly benefit payments.

Information mailed to retirees

When a member retires from IMRF, we send him or her a packet of information about IMRF pensions, survivor benefits, etc. Included with this packet of information are details regarding this health insurance endorsement and who to contact for more information.
